Early Life and Biography
He was born as Juaquin James Malphurs on May 31, 1986, in Queens, New York City, USA, but his family moved to Georgia soon after. His mother Debra is the former manager of rapper Gucci Mane and the CEO of So Icy / Mizay Entertainment.

His nickname “Waka” was given to him by his cousins, while the rest, “Flocka Flame”, was the idea of a fellow rapper and friend Gucci Mane.
Since May 25, 2014, he has been married to Tammy Rivera.

In 2013, his brother committed suicide, after which Waka Flocka began a vegan. He felt that he had to detox, and therefore stopped eating animal products.
He has had controversies in the past including some legal troubles.
Career
Waka Flocka became famous after his single called “O Let’s Do It!” in 2009, which reached the Billboard Top 100, mainly number 62 spot. The following two hits “No Hands” and “Hard in Da Paint” were globally famous.
His second studio album came in 2012, called “Triple F Life”, while a year after, he released “Flockaveli 2”, alongside a mixtape. Popular artists made guest appearances on it, including Gucci Mane, French Montana, Young Scooter, and Ace Hood.

In 2014, along with his wife, he started filming for the aforementioned reality show. That same year, he appeared in a movie “Black Dynamite”.
During his career, he has been nominated for various awards but has only won one “Best Club Banger” Award at the BET Hip Hop Awards. However, he has made dozens of famous hit singles, loved by millions of fans.
