The International Watch Fair in Geneva is over and there were presented some incredible timepieces. There were classics and there were also some very extravagant and bold timepieces. We are bringing you the best nine watches of this year so far. You will find timepieces from Cartier, Piaget on the list, but keep reading to discover the others.
1. Audemars Piguet
Audemars Piguet had the biggest launch since 1972 and its Royal Oak. The new collection is called Code 11.59, and it’s available in 13 models.
This collection is so unique that it took them seven years to develop the whole collection. Some of the parts are so complicated and only 10 craftsmen in the world can assemble them. It definitely is special like the famous Royal Oak.
2. Piaget
You may know about the Piaget’s Altiplano models. This year they’ve added a thin layer of a meteorite to two of those models. The interesting part is that every sliver of meteorite rock is different, so that means that every watch is unique. The combination that they made is really astonishing.
3. Montblanc
When you think of a marvelous timepiece you certainly think about Montblanc. The Montblanc Heritage GMT comes in three automatic versions, and it’s the new release from Montblanc. The watch is 40 mm, and you can choose from the silver/white domed dial, a steel Milanese bracelet or a salmon-colored dial with elegant grey alligator-skin strap.
4. Jaeger-LeCoultre
This is a very elegant timepiece with a moon phase. The Master Ultra-Thin Moon Enamel has a white gold case, the dial-in midnight blue and has the power reserve of 70 hours.
That means that you don’t need to worry about correcting the date, time or moon phase when you pick it up again after not wearing it for a couple of days.
5. IWC
IWC has some new timepieces in their Top Gun collection, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition ‘Mojave Desert’, the Pilot’s Watch Automatic Top Gun, and the Pilot’s Watch Double Chronograph Top Gun Ceratanium.
Everything on these watches has been inspired by the cockpit of warplanes. They also have a special edition the Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Special Edition “The Longest Flight” and it’s dedicated to the ‘Silver Spitfire – The Longest Flight’ project.
6. Cartier
An all-time favorite, Cartier. They released a unisex model that comes in two sized and in two-tone pink gold and stainless steel and all-pink gold.
This model has been popular since 1904 and they managed to make it even more beautiful and modern. It has a quartz movement, which gives this timepiece a six-year power reserve.
7. Vacheron
The Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Twin Beat Perpetual Calendar has a very clever ‘standby mode’ that makes him run for over two months.
That means that the watch won’t need any additional adjustment even if you didn’t use it for over two months. The watch has a transparent sapphire dial and the 18k gold markers, which makes him so beautiful.
8. Parmigiani
This timepiece is the most beautiful of them all. And why is that? It’s because it is made based on the Golden Ratio. They managed to reproduce the harmony that is everywhere in nature.
And with that harmony, a Hermes tan-colored alligator strap and a red gold ardillion buckle go perfectly.
9. Richard Mille
And the last but certainly not the least, we have Richard Mille. Every watch from this list is very elegant and very serious. But these watches made by Richard Mille are everything except serious.
They made a collection named Bonbon. A set of ten watches that divided into two groups, ‘Fruits’ and ‘Sweets’. There are Automatic Kiwi, Automatic Citron, Automatic Fraise, Automatic Marshmallow, Automatic Sucette or even Cupcake. They are colorful, fun, interesting looking, but also good quality watches.
