Jake Lloyd’s real name is Matthew Lloyd and he was born to William Lloyd and Lisa Riley. His father worked at the EMT and his mother was an entertainment agent. He was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on 5th March 1989.
He graduated from Carmel High School in Carmel, Indiana in 2007. He tried to go to college at Columbia College Chicago, but he left after a semester. He was studying film and psychology.

Jake retired from acting in 2001, but no one knew what the reasons for his early retirement are until 2012. Then he decided to speak up and he announced that he was bullied, so he decided that there is no other way to end that, then to quit his acting job and retire. Three years from that, on June 17th, 2015 he was arrested, in South Carolina. The reason why he was arrested was reckless driving without a license and he also resisted the arrest. He was then diagnosed with schizophrenia and that is the reason because he didn’t end up in prison because of his charges. Instead, he was moved to a psychiatric facility.

Jake Lloyd started his career with the role of Jimmy Sweet in ER in 1996. That same year he got a role as Jake Warren in Unhook the Stars. Everything seemed like it’s going in the right direction and Jake’s future in acting business look so bright. He got the role of Mark Armstrong in Apollo 11 and the role of Jamie Langston in Jingle All the Way. He also acted in The Pretender.
And in 1999 he got a chance of his life when he got the role of Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars. He also lends his voice to the character of Anakin Skywalker for the Star Wars video games from 1999 to 2002. And in 2005 he got the role of Mike McCormick in Madison.
He got very popular because of his role as Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars, and he got a Young Artist Award for that role. But he also got a nomination from the Golden Raspberry Award as the Worst Supporting Actor, but he didn’t win it.
